?Your lip swelling questions answered?? How much will I swell after lip filler❓ • Swelling can vary person to person! Most people have a couple days of moderate swelling and then it subsides every day over the course of 2 weeks. How can I reduce swelling after lip filler❓ • Taking Pepcid and Claritin together can help decrease your swelling. Topical arnica may also help! • You may use a cold compress afterwards, but never use direct ice on fresh filler because it can make the filler ball up and become lumpy. How painful will my lips be after filler❓ • You should never have more pain after filler than the actual injections. If you have more pain than the actual injections after you go home, or the next day, this is something you should alert you injector about because you need a prompt assessment. I just saw myself for the first time in the mirror, and I’m scared… Will they go down ⁉️ • Don’t stress! You lose about 10-15% of the size over the next couple weeks. There is some immediate swelling that occurs with lip filler, so the size you leave the office with will decrease up to ~15% over the following 2 weeks.
